MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

The Trauma Society of South Africa (TSSA) is a national society representing all healthcare professionals interested in the care of a trauma patient across the spectrum from time of injury through to rehabilitation.

TSSA is the only multidisciplinary trauma society in South Africa and works with its members to ensure that they are the best informed and the best prepared to provide trauma care in their respective communities.

  • All research submitted for presentation at TSSA congresses will be evaluated by our research evaluation committee, headed by Prof. Andrew Nicol.
  • The best research project will be awarded a travelling scholarship of R25,000. (Note: you MUST be a resident of South Africa and a member of TSSA to qualify.)
  • This money MUST be used towards travelling to an international congress to present the same data within 12 months.
